Overview

  • NPCI in a circular had issued a new guideline on e-NACH payments according to which every Corporate (smallcase Managers) which has users creating an eMandate, will have to provide an option to the user to cancel any of his/her registered mandates. 

  • The RBI circular on mandate cancellation. 

  • As per the NPCI directives, Corporates need to submit the declaration (with their sponsored banks)  to continue using e-NACH services. We request you to submit the declaration during your initial on-boarding with the sponsored bank (HDFC or Yes Bank) as soon as possible to avoid any last-minute issues.

Implementing the Process of Mandate Cancellation

We have added a provision for users to reach out to us via email for mandate cancellation. 

   Details below:

  • A Help article has been added in the smallcase app, where the steps to be followed by a user to request a mandate cancellation are listed.

  • The same has also been added in the FAQ & Help section of all Manager micro-websites

  • Users can reach out to us via email and the mandate cancellation process can be taken forward by our support team.

Note: Mandate cancellation via email is an acceptable form of Mandate cancellation, as per the details shared by Banks & NPCI.


Once you submit the declaration and annexure to the sponsored bank, please follow the steps below to cancel the e-mandates of your users.

  • As per the bank guidelines, all the cancellation mails have to be sent from your end to the bank, only then it will get processed. 

  • Further, submission of data is to be done in the following excel format.

The steps to be followed are mentioned below:  


1. Our team will forward the client’s e-mails to you, along with their respective UMRN Numbers.

2. As mentioned in the above format, you have to add your Corporate Registration Name & Utility Code. 

3. The last two columns i.e. Consumer Ref. Number and Rejection Code are to be left blank, it is for bank purpose only. 

4. Please share this in an excel sheet to the below-mentioned email IDs 


Note: Managers can find their Utility code and Corporate/Beneficiary Name in the Profile section of the Publisher platform under Billing.
