In order to improve the user experience for smallcase investors, multiple product features have been introduced in an attempt to reduce the errors that users face while placing orders.
Now, to help managers reduce these errors proactively, we have introduced a new feature on the Publisher Platform.
We have added a new feature in the publisher platform to notify managers about their smallcase constituents if it is going through one of the following events:
Additional Surveillance Measure
Graded Surveillance Measure
Companies(Stocks) going through processes of Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC)or Inter Creditor agreement(ICA)
Managers will be notified in the My Smallcases section about published smallcase that contain stocks under any of the above categories. More details will be provided when the manager clicks the Review button.
The above image shows a case where we strongly recommend the manager to review the smallcase. When the manager clicks “Review”, they are informed about the specific stocks that need to be reviewed.
There are also cases where we nudge the manager to review and monitor the stocks. In such cases, the manager will see a yellow warning symbol against the smallcase as shown below. Managers are requested to review the smallcase in such situations, and to evaluate and monitor whether a rebalance would be in the best interest of users.
Additional Checks during CSV Upload:
We have also implemented additional checks on the Stock Upload process during new smallcase creation and rebalance addition. These checks are done after the manager uploads the CSV. smallcase systems evaluate the stocks after upload and generate alerts if applicable. Examples are shown below.
Warning Notifications:
When the CSV is uploaded with constituents, stocks listed under the below mentioned surveillance measures will be detected by the platform:
Stocks Under Graded Surveillance Measure Stage 2 and above
Stocks under Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code Stage 1 and above
Stocks Under Inter Creditor Agreement Stage 1 and above
If such stocks are found in the CSV, a blocking notification will be shown to the managers, strongly recommending them to review marked in red. This is required since stocks in the above categories face trading restrictions from brokers, and may not be available to trade.
Managers are highly recommended to review such constituents before proceeding further with rebalance or new smallcase creation.
For Stocks which are:
Going through a Corp Action(except dividends)
Part of ASM List
Part of GSM Stage 1 or 2
Managers will be nudged with a yellow warning message to review/monitor the constituents before proceeding further.
