Common Use Cases
Find All Active Subscribers
Filter: Status = SUBSCRIBED
These users have paid and have full access to your content.
Find Users in Grace Period
Filter: Status = GRACE_PERIOD
Why it matters: These users are familiar with your product, still have access, but haven't paid. Highest conversion potential.
Action: Check Grace Period End Date and reach out before access expires.
Find Subscriptions Ending This Month
Filter: End Date = [current month dates] AND Status = SUBSCRIBED
Pro tip: Also include SUBSCRIBED_USER_CANCELLED to catch users who've already cancelled but haven't lapsed yet.
Find Subscribers Who Never Invested
Filter: Status = SUBSCRIBED AND Investment Status = Blank
Why it matters: These users paid but didn't invest — key onboarding opportunity.
Find Payment Failures
Filter: Plan Payment Status = FAILED
Action: Check payment_status_reason in the Payments Report for specific failure details, then reach out to users.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What's the difference between End Date and Grace Period End Date?
End Date is when the subscription cycle officially ends. Grace Period End Date is when temporary access (if granted) expires. If a user doesn't pay before Grace Period End Date, they lose access completely.
Q: Why do some users show "Blank" for Investment Status?
"Blank" means the user has never invested in the portfolio. They subscribed (paid for access to research) but haven't actually deployed capital into the strategy. These are important to track because they may need onboarding help.
Q: What does Auto vs Onetime mean?
Auto: Subscription will auto-renew at the End Date (assuming payment succeeds)
Onetime: Subscription expires at End Date unless user manually renews
Q: How do I find users who cancelled but still have access?
Filter: Status = SUBSCRIBED_USER_CANCELLED
These users cancelled their subscription but are still within their paid period (before End Date).
Q: Can I see which users came from a specific referral source?
Yes, use the Attribution field. For more detailed referral analysis, see the Referrer Performance Report.
Q: What if Plan Payment Status shows PENDING for a long time?
PENDING means payment was initiated but not yet confirmed. If it stays PENDING for more than a few days, the payment likely failed or was abandoned. Cross-reference with the Payments Report for payment_status_reason.
