Below we have answered frequently asked queries that you might have during your Manager Declaration process.


  • What is the Manager Declaration process and why is it important?

In line with our ongoing efforts to position smallcase as the most trusted investment platform, we have initiated a set of measures effective 25th May 2022.


The Manager Declaration process is a periodic process through which we gather the relevant information/documents from you in order to abide by the platform regulations.  


  • What documents am I required to share for the Manager Declaration process?

You are requested to share the following documents:

  1. Declaration Letter with your seal and signature

  2. Managers are required to provide detailed information in the Google form shared via email.


Once shared, the team will review the documents and get back to you in case of any further clarifications.


  • I don’t have a SEBI SCORES Portal login, how to get that?

You have to reach out to SEBI via phone/email requesting them to share the login credentials against your SEBI License Number. Please refer to this Help Article for the steps to obtain the credentials sooner.


  • What are the best practices while filling out the Declaration Letter?

The best practices are as follows:

  1. Make sure to go through the entire Declaration Letter before signing

  2. Enter the Place and Date at the bottom of the Letter

  3. Signature of Directors/Partners/Compliance Officers only must be added 

  4. You can add your DSC to the Letter

  5. In the case of physical signatures, apply the seal and signature on every page of the Letter. 


  • Who can share the documents on behalf of the smallcase Manager?

The required documents must be sent from the email ID specified in the BPA or from any manager's designated point of contact, with the email ID in the BPA copied in CC.


In case the mentioned email address is inactive, please ensure that the addressed email IDs are kept in CC in your email response.


  • What screenshot do I need to share from the SEBI SCORES Portal?

You are required to share the screenshot of the full page from your portal where the status of your historical/current complaints is shown. (Sample below)


Please DO NOT crop out anything from the screenshot as it may lead to the loss of vital information and can result in unnecessary back and forth between you and the team.




  • What will happen if I don’t submit the Manager Declaration documents?

You will be given sufficient time to provide the requested information/documents. 


In the event of non-submission of documents within the stipulated timeline, your smallcases will be blocked and delisted from the smallcase app and smallcase.com.


This will not cause any harm to your existing users, but will only stop new subscribers from subscribing to your smallcases. And your smallcases will not be discoverable or searchable on the smallcase app and smallcase.com


You will continue to have access to your Publisher platform login and will be able to use the platform as is without any difficulties.
